Fisher Honors Programs

• Open/Close Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) Honors

  This carefully structured four-year program aligns foundational Fisher classwork with our partners in the OSU College of Engineering.

  The result: a potent combination of business, critical thinking and tech-driven problem solving. You’ll graduate with Honors in Integrated Business and Engineering and a minor in either engineering science or computer science, and you’ll be well prepared to make an immediate impact as a team member or manager in a range of engineering-driven fields.

• Open/Close Accounting Honors

  “Accounting is a pathway to a variety of roles, including auditing, financial reporting and finance — even work with federal agencies such as the CIA, FBI and IRS. The challenging and innovative curriculum will expose you to a wide range of domestic and international accounting concepts, led by faculty who coordinate a wealth of guest speakers, industry mentors and other content exclusive to honors students. Successful completion will earn you an Honors in Accounting diploma designation.”

• Open/Close Finance Honors

  Do you want to take a step toward becoming a financial leader ready to handle tomorrow’s challenges? Do you want to work with world-class faculty?

  High-performing and motivated honors students will be equipped with the analytical and quantitative skills sought by leading investment and commercial banks, private equity firms, and consulting firms. Courses in the Finance Honors Program will emphasize leading valuation and asset management techniques and software applications while preparing you and land – and succeed in – high-quality internships and post-graduation employment.

  Collaboration, candor, trust — these are just a few of the traits shared by teams that innovate and lead. You’ll examine these concepts — and much more — as part of the Honors Cohort experience.

  This program uses a holistic approach to classwork, broadening the academic footprint for a select set of students chosen sophomore year. Explore how critical thinking, complex reasoning and communication strategies produce success across industries. You’ll complete this program with Honors in Business Administration.

• Open/Close Honors Contract

  Develops students as principled leaders through group coursework and an individual challenge.

  The program includes…
  •  A set of five honors business courses taken as a cohort
  •  A Minor/Major/Concentration outside of Business
  •  One self-directed Contract Challenge that will enhance students’ professional and leadership development
  •  A semester off from program requirements

• Open/Close Research Distinction

  Fisher College of Business students with academic research interests have the opportunity to pursue a year-long research project with guidance from a faculty advisor culminating in a thesis, presenting findings at the Denman Research Forum, and an oral defense. Successful students will have "with honors research distinction" inscribed on the diploma.
