The success of our graduate programs resides in their characteristics - intimate, interactive, hands on and flexible - qualities that mirror many successful businesses. Because we purposely keep our program sizes small, you always have access to faculty, staff, other students, alumni and executives. Our strong teamwork focus encourages you to build relationships in and out of class including networking and mentoring opportunities. You’ll also have the flexibility to study what intrigues you. As a MAcc student you will use your accounting and non-accounting elective requirements to help support your possible career objective(s), be it (they) financial reporting and analysis, assurance services, information systems management, taxation, etc.

Fisher’s Master of Accounting Program helps you gain a broader and deeper understanding of how accounting functions within organizations. You develop critical and analytical thinking, as well as reinforce strong technical skills required for CPA licensing in the Fisher Master of Accounting program, recently ranked 10th best in the nation by The CPA Personnel Report.

You build personal relationships almost immediately. One week prior to the start of classes in September, you will gather with all other admitted students for a full day orientation. This mandatory program will introduce you to your classmates, the faculty and staff and give you an opportunity to become familiar with the Fisher campus.

At the Fisher College of Business, we limit the size of our incoming classes to ensure you will have one on one contact with faculty. Classes are taught by professors, and you are encouraged to engage them in active conversation both in and out of the classroom.

Because our faculty are accomplished both in the academic side of business and the practice of it, you will be experiencing the finest and most current thinking in management education today. Fisher faculty members are internationally recognized leaders in the study of the economic, social, political and technological forces shaping global markets today. They are active in national and international business communities, serving as consultants, board members and key speakers at conferences and seminars. Among our faculty are best-selling authors of textbooks in marketing, accounting, ethics, logistics, manufacturing and negotiation. Many have earned top rankings by prestigious publications for their academic skills, overall teaching and research impact. And many have made their mark in business before joining Fisher College.

We encourage you to get to know our faculty so you can better understand how they can help you to achieve your goals. The Fisher College Faculty Expert's Guide provides biographical information on all faculty members in the Fisher College.

Research Exposure
