Through its affiliation with CIBER and the resources at OSU, the International Programs Office at Fisher is able to offer many grants and awards. Below are some of the most common:
Ohio Faculty International Network (OFIN)
The Ohio Faculty International Network creates a venue for Ohio faculty to share ideas and projects related to international topics. The network focuses on business-related issues, and those colleges and universities that are members have degree-granting programs in fields such as economics, management and/or business.
PhD International Research Awards
For PhD students at Fisher College whose research covers topics such as global or international business, the annual CIBER PhD International Research Awards are an excellent way to gain funding. Awards may be used for a variety of purposes, from traveling to collect data to acquiring resarch assistance.
Exchange Program Travel Grants
Through CIBER and the generosity of private donors, the International Programs Office offers travel grants to students who participate in University-endorsed Study Abroad Programs. While any University-endorsed Study Abroad Program will be considered for a grant, priority is given to business students attending programs at one of Fisher's partner institutions.
Foreign Language Area Studies
The Foreign Language & Area Studies Fellowships are offered to graduate students and professional school students who enroll in foreign language instruction at OSU or abroad. The purpose of these fellowships is to promote the creation of world area specialists, and business students are encouraged to apply.
Global Competence Awards
The Global Competence Award program is one of the ways in which Fisher's CIBER supports faculty in their international research interests. Any project will be considered for this award, but interdisciplinary or cross-functional projects are often given priority. In addition, the International Programs Office encourages projects which relate to CIBER’s theme (the management of global strategic alliances).
