Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma Belt Training

OSU Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Online Lean Six Sigma training using the D-M-A-I-C methodology with integrated Lean tools and techniques. This instructor-supported course covers the complete Lean Six Sigma Black Belt body of knowledge, with all content available online in an asynchronous format. Lean enterprise topics include value stream mapping, continuous flow, line balancing, quick changeover and others. Numerous case studies and examples focus on Service, Business Process and Manufacturing applications.

The Design of Experiments module uses Design-Ease software from Stat-Ease, a user-friendly alternative for the design and analysis of experiments, and also includes downloadable Excel templates. With a heavy practice orientation, as much as half of your time will be spent working through interactive practice exercises and online assessments. Green Belt is NOT a prerequisite. Course access period is 365 days.

Six Sigma Green Belt
Online Six Sigma training using the D-M-A-I-C methodology. Greenbelt training focuses on the fundamentals of data collection and analysis and includes an overview of Design of Experiments. Similar to the Black Belt course, numerous case studies and examples focus on Service, Business Process and Manufacturing applications. Selected Lean Manufacturing and System Dynamics concepts are integrated with Six Sigma in this course. 

This instructor-supported course covers the complete Green Belt body of knowledge, with all content available online in an asynchronous format. Six Sigma Yellow Belt
This course is designed to provide a broad understanding of the Six Sigma improvement methodology, concepts and language, along with a complete toolbox of basic process improvement methods applied within the Six Sigma D-M-A-I-C framework, including basic Statistical Process Control Charts. This course is targeted at a wide audience of Six Sigma team members who need familiarity with the overall process and the process improvement basic tools. Operations Short Courses

Charting Process Behavior (SPC)
This course provides the necessary tools to chart and understand process behavior over time. The body of knowledge covered by this course of study is also known as Statistical Process Control (SPC). Course materials are presented within the context of a Six Sigma improvement project, where process behavior charts (control charts) are often used in the Measure, Analyze and Control phases of the D-M-A-I-C process.

However, involvement in a Six Sigma project is not a prequisite, and no prior knowledge of Six Sigma is assumed. This course is comprised of 16 Modules, or Lessons, followed by an online quiz. You may start or stop at any time. Course duration is 90 days.

Fundamentals of Project Management
This online Project Management course covers the fundamental skills, techniques and methods necessary to plan and lead a complex project to successful completion. The body of knowledge covered by this course aligns with the PMBOK® as provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and successful completion of the course provides 16 PDU’s for PMI recertification.

With a heavy practice orientation, as much as a third of your time will be spent working through interactive practice exercises and online assessments. Course duration is 180 days, but delivery is asynchronous, so you may work through the course at your own speed and according to your own schedule.

Lean Six Sigma Champion
This course is designed to provide a broad understanding of the Lean Six Sigma improvement methodology, concepts and language in support of Champion activities. This course provides an overview of the Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control process, including a group of basic problem-solving tools used for project selection and project management, as well as guidance on leading teams and leading change.
