Program Format
The EMBA program begins each January, but a full week orientation session kicks off the program in December. You earn your MBA degree over 18 months, meeting on campus 3 days per month (always Thursday, Friday and Saturday) from 8am - 5pm. The EMBA program dates are set well in advance, making it very convenient to work into your busy schedule.
To keep you informed and in touch during your time away from campus, you have exclusive access to our interactive and asynchronous Executive MBA website. Most homework assignments and exams are administered through the website, meaning you can access and submit coursework from anywhere in the world according to your schedule.
Cross-Disciplinary Curriculum
The Executive MBA program is taught by internationally recognized faculty with strong ties to the business world, who expertly present subject matter such that it is applicable to your immediate on-the-job challenges.
In each of the five learning modules they coordinate their materials to integrate the three subjects, so that multiple perspectives inform a practical discussion of the course material. In addition to the integration that runs through the entire program, each class selects a topic for their Cross-Disciplinary course during the last module. The course looks at a topic from multiple perspectives.
Team-Based Learning
As a Fisher EMBA student, you join an elite group of professionals who have many years of management experience, as well as diverse backgrounds and skills sets. Prior to orientation, program Administration divides the class into several 5-6 member teams that are specifically designed to make it possible for you to complete projects as a complete cross-functional unit. Over the course of the program, your team becomes a support system that helps you to accomplish the rigorous work load.
A Global Perspective
In today’s business climate, issues must be viewed not only with the total organization in mind, but also in the context of their socio-economic, political and cultural environments. The Fisher EMBA program offers a global integration course that focuses specifically on the international dimension of today’s management problems.
A required international experience – offered only to program participants – provides an excellent opportunity for you to understand the challenges faced by business managers operating overseas.
